I did not attend church regularly growing up, but I now can see that many seeds of faith were planted in my life from the day I was born. Through the faithful prayers of family members, summer church camps, youth group activities, and the witness of a co-worker and my husband, I finally stopped running and turned the pieces of my broken life over to Jesus Christ at the age of 24. Since that time, I have been learning to forgive myself for the mess I made on my own – trusting that I have been forgiven by the Lord (Psalm 103:12).
I have been married to Wayne for 29 years who is a godly man whom I dearly love and respect. We are grateful for our two young adult children, Sarah and Josh, and Josh's wife, Amanda. Wayne and I traveled and sang Southern Gospel music for over 20 years in churches and prisons. We have lead praise and worship at several area churches. Wayne sings and teaches Bible study. I sing and play keyboard.
I was secretary here in the late 90s and left to go into medical transcription. I had an opportunity to come back in 2007. It is a blessing to serve in ministry at Villa Heights. I consider the wonderful people here to be my church family. I hope I can bring a little joy and comfort to those who need assistance of any kind in the church office each week (II Corinthians 1:3). It is a privilege to be on staff at VHBC.
II Corinthians 1:3 "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort..."
