God's Friendly Beacon On The Hill

Camps & Missions

Students have been working hard to show the love of God both here and in the community. From service project around VHBC to serving as Bible study and recreation leaders at Belmont Baptist's day camp outreach, our youth are serving in the name of Jesus.  Check out our Wednesday nights - it's our typical weekly service night.

Camp was incredible this year!  The Holy Spirit moved us all in ways we couldn't imagine.  God is good!  Check out photos on our Villa Heights facebook page

Stay tuned for more....

Centrifuge 2012
June 18-23
North Greenville University, Greenville, SC

Camp is open to rising 7th-12th grade students. They get a week of spiritual uplifting, fun activities, incredible speakers, an awesome live band, a week of bonding and building relationships with each other and youth leaders. Those doing M-Fuge will also be a part of serving others through mission activities each day.

What is FUGE? (from www.fuge.com)
At CENTRIFUGE you can relax and let us take care of the details. In addition to powerful worship every morning and evening, your students will experience small-group Bible study and team-building recreation led by highly trained FUGE staffers. In the meantime, you and your adults have the chance to refresh and fellowship with leaders from other churches through adult Bible study and recreation. Afternoon track times give everyone the opportunity to participate in a favorite activity or learn something new. Every part of the day is planned and executed by our FUGE staff so you don’t have to worry about preparing for the next activity - you can focus on building relationships with your students.

What is MFuge? (from www.fuge.com)
At MFuge you can roll your sleeves up and get ready to jump right into ministry…our highly trained FUGE staffers will take care of the details and facilitate the planning for each day. You and your students will get to invest your time and energy into a variety of mission projects (choose between Children’s Ministry, Games & Rec, Social Ministry, Creative Ministry or Painting, Construction, Yardwork). During the day your students will be challenged and stretched as individuals; in the evenings, you’ll have an opportunity to build group unity over dinner, worship, fellowships and Church Group Devotions.

Cost for camp?
Registration is $265.00 per person for Centrifuge and $275 for M-Fuge. Youth/Parents are responsible for $200 with the remaining balance being paid out of the youth budget. Additionally, you will want to plan for a meal at a fast food location on the way to and from camp. We also take up offering during camp. Spending money at camp is optional – they do have a camp store where students can purchase T-shirts, sweats, hoodies, CDs, etc. There’s also a campus gift shop that sells candy and Icees/slurpees. These are all completely optional and up to student/parent discretion.

Deposit/Commitment
If you are planning to attend camp in 2012, a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 will be due no later than January 15, 2012.

You will also need to select Fuge or M-Fuge as we register for each separately even though they’re at the same location. STUDENTS: Please give this decision serious consideration and what God is leading you to choose – not what your friends are choosing. Some of you will be ready for or desire a mission oriented camp experience, others will be well suited for a more traditional camp experience with Centrifuge – both offer opportunity for our youth group to worship together.

Please give your deposit/payments to Becky Baldwin or Laurissa Grubb so that payments can be properly recorded and tracked. Make checks payable to Villa Heights Baptist Church and in memo please put Fuge and student’s name
