At Villa Heights we take to heart the verse in Proverbs 22:6 which says
"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it," (NAS). We want to help disciple school age children so they can understand salvation and Christian Conversion. We are committed to being a support to the parents in any ways that they need. We have programs for all ages of children from birth through 5th grade. All of our children's workers and teachers are committed towards loving the children of Villa Heights as their own and helping them develop an understanding of God through their personal teachings and interactions with them.

Sunday School - 9:45 AM on Sunday Mornings
Our Greeters will be happy to help you find the most appropriate class for your child.
(All of our children's classes are isolated to insure child safety and are under the control of the security team hall monitors throughout class time.)

Children's Church - 10:45 AM Sunday Mornings
Welcome to BLAST - Bible Learning Adventure STations provided for children ages 3-Kindergarten during the worship hour. BLAST is held upstairs in the children’s wing from 10:45-12:15. We offer lessons for children that are planned using Biblically sound curriculum and are reinforced with play, music and craft activities.
Our mission for children in the BLAST program is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn Biblical truths and experience God’s love for them through a variety of developmentally appropriate programs and activities. We strive to recognize children as individuals and build relationships that reflect Jesus’ philosophy of love and service. Because we take seriously the responsibility of children in our care, policies and procedures are in place to provide for their safety and security while they are with us.
Please sign your child in and out at the Children’s Sign-In table on the second floor. If you are a visitor you will be assigned a number in order to protect your child’s safety. We will also ask you to complete a registration form with important information, including any allergies or health issues your child might have.

Preschool Choir/Bible Memory
Sundays 5:00 - 6:30 pm:
This Semester we are utilizing the program "Faithweavers" which is a new children's program that includes music, Bible memory, crafts, games and snacks. Preschool through 5th grade.

Preschool "Mission Friends" Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 pm
On Wednesdays our 3 year olds thru Kindergarteners spend their time in our Mission Friends organization. Mission Friends, which is led by Leslie Klepper, helps our preschoolers learn about God's world and sharing His love with others.

Girls - Grades 1-5 (6th grade optional)
Our girls participate in Girls in Action (GA's). In this group they learn about missionaries and participate in many mission and service projects. During the school year they are awarded charms for a GA charm bracelet when they complete thier projects. At the end of the school year they are also awarded badges for a sash demonstrating their accomplishments.

Boys - Grades 1-5 (6th grade optional)
Our boys are enrolled in Royal Ambassadors (RA's) which might be described as a Christian Boy Scout troup that focuses on Missions. They have learned many exciting things about missionaries and the church and are are also working service projects together. One of their exciting projects is the annual pinewood derby competition! At the end of the school year they are awarded badges showing their annual accomplishments. |

Other Activities
We offer many fun activities throughout the year for our children and their families. Our children participated in "Take the Plunge"last summer on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. This was a time of music videos, crafts, Bible stories, and of course - WET games! We will have something similar this coming summer!

Vacation Bible School
This year's VBS will be held July 24-29 from 6-9 pm each night. Our VBS Kickoff picnic will be held on July 24 at the picnic shelter and will include good food, entertainment, moonwalk, sno-cones, and much more! Everyone had a great time fellowshipping with the church family and community and is always LOADS of fun!
